EAGLE FUN DAYS!!! Once again my pictures are in reverse order...sorry. This is a much anticipated weekend for our little community. This year TJ and Alex were in California for Grandmas funeral so Jaden and I along with a couple of my sisters joined in the fun with neighbors and friends from church. Friday is the bike races where all age and experience levels bicycle a course through downtown Eagle. There are all sorts of yummy fried foods and treats as well as craft and business displays. The next day is the water parade. Friends Lance and John made a little pool out of a trailer and parked downtown early to secure us all a good spot. Everyone came with buckets and super soakers to make sure all would be properly doused at some time during the parade. Fire fighters, garbage trucks, and other local businesses load up their tucks and tanks with water and as they pass by it becomes a war between them and the spectators. Of course it is also a war on the ground with husbands soaking their wives, wives seeking revenge and children squirting any moving thing whether it is human, animal or motorized. Lots of wet fun! We went out to the Cherry festival which is in a town called Emmett. They had a petting zoo, carnival ride, more fried food and another parade. It was a jam packed day but we really enjoyed it.

TJ's grandma, Grandma Stanley, passed away earlier this June. TJ and Alex went to California for her funeral and to be with the family. I kept Jaden home with me as I was too far along to travel. I was very sad not to be able to attend Grandmas funeral and to be with everyone that weekend. TJ and Alex enjoyed the trip however and were glad they had been able to be there. Since I wasn't there I don't have a whole lot of description to add about their trip but the pictures can help tell a bit of the story....

Paxton James Brown arrived June 27th, 2008. He was 7lbs. 4oz. and 20.25" long. He has long arms and legs, a great tan and a mellow disposition (so far). We are very glad he is here and we all can't seem to kiss him enough.

Mimi was able to come as soon as Paxton arrived to help me with the house and the kids. She did quite a few night shifts which saved me. I think we wore her out....sorry Mom! My sister Beth has been here this summer to help as well. She has been wonderful and we are all going to miss her when she has to go back home. My parents came the week of 4th of July and took the second shift of helping me. Our little family is so blessed to have such wonderful grandparents and aunts and uncles to help us out and celebrate the birth of our little Paxton.

We Miss Mimi and Papa!

We really enjoyed Mimi and Papa's visit! Alex and Jaden were so glad to see them. Jaden was so upset when they left and kept saying he wanted to go on the plane with Mimi. They brought some warm weather with them and by the time they left most of the leaves on the trees had finally opened up their buds and were sprouting green leaves. The pictures are backwards in sequence of how they happened and I still haven't figured out how to rotate pictures...sorry!

The kids thought it quite the game to go running across the yard and launch themselves onto Papa. They repeated this over and over again. Dad was quite the sport this weekend playing house and airport with Alex, chasing them around the playground and teaching them new games. Their favorite (I am hoping they forget it soon) game they came up with is to take a card and chips game that we have, go into the bonus room and to throw the pieces everywhere while yelling wahoo!

After our little jaunt downtown we headed to the park which has a path that runs next to the river. We stopped there to throw some rocks, splash Mimi, and clean a scraped up knee. It was a gorgeous day outside! Afterwards we went to lunch at Blue Moose Cafe which is one of my favorite lunch spots.

We walked around downtown Eagle Monday morning. We stopped in little furniture stores and fun little boutiques. I think Dad was a bit bored with that one. There is a little vegetable market downtown where we stopped and got some fresh fruits and yummy salad dressings.

A picnic in the park after the museum.

These three shots were taken at the Discovery Museum. It's a science museum that has lots of fun experiments and learning activities for the kids. They happened to be having an event there that day, hence the face painting. They have a little grocery store section that the kids can shop and check out. It's one of the kiddos favorites there.

I talked to Krista today and am in trouble for not updating more frequently. There really isn't much to report. My birthday was on the 7th and that was fun. TJ took me out to a nice dinner and for a little shopping. He got me a photo editing software that I have been wanting so I can hardly wait to play around with that. Some of my friends took me out to lunch which was also a fun treat since I love doing lunch or anything that has to do with eating really. My sister sent me a darling nursing cover for baby #3. It will be nice to have a new baby accessory as child 1 & 2 have kind of worn things out a bit.
I am now 30 weeks along...halla-freakin-luhah! I found out I was anemic and since have started iron supplements. I am starting to feel a little more energized finally.
TJ is still working a ton but he tells me that business is good. We don't see him much so it has been a bit lonely around here. My girlfriend Hannah moved here a couple months ago and it has been saving me. She is like having a sister around so she looks out for me and keeps me company.
Mimi and Papa are coming this weekend for a visit. It is what we have been looking forward to all month. I am sure I will have more exciting things to say next time as well as some pictures.

Easter pictures....
We had a wonderful Easter this year! Alex and I colored eggs together. Jaden is a bit crazy and not so careful so I opted for his nap time to do break out the egg dyes. Maybe next year.... The kiddos enjoyed their Easter baskets and new Easter Sunday clothes. I had most of the stuff collected and put together a couple of weeks ago so it eleviated much of the stress I usually feel trying to pull off the holiday. Much to TJ's dismay he did not receive an Easter basket and I am afraid he was quite put out about it. My friend asked him if he had made me mad since he didn't get one. He didn't think that was very funny either. He hadn't made me mad but since he has been telling me to not spend money I thought that included extra's spent on him...apparently not. We had a relatively small group gather (compared to our normal size) at our home for a delicous dinner. THat is probably my favorite festivity of holidays, the gathering of family and friends to eat yummy (fattening) food! We held an Easter egg hunt for the kiddo's after dinner which they loved. Watching the kids run around the yard reminded me of Easter egg hunts when I was little and how exciting they were to me.
This year I enjoyed the spirit of the season more so then in years past. Alex is old enough that she could comprehend the basics of Christ's death and ressurection. I love it when her little mind grasps a concept and she wants to talk about it or ask questions to feed her curiousity. We had STK conference the weekend before Easter and so much of it was about Christ and then the March Ensign was all about Christ and the atonement. Not only did my feeling of love and reverence deepin for my Saviour but I also discovered answers to questions. All around it was probably my best Easter ever!

TJ was at a home and garden show manning the Pristine Pool booth. Apparently there was a sushi booth where a guy was demonstrating all the little gadgets to make sushi. TJ became hooked and bought the little ensemble and now is a sushi chef (or so he thinks). Unfortunately for me the smell of seaweed turns my stomach at the moment. I still don't have my computer working so I can't attach pictures but when I do I will post a picture of him in his Japenese bandana whippin up sushi. He is such an impulse buyer when it comes to kitchen gadgets and utensils. Anything else he practices amazing restraint. Kind of funny...

I am sure most of heard by now but if not....we are expecting a baby Brown boy July 4thish!
Alex wants to do a post about our trip to Arizona.....
I had so much fun with my aunts and uncles and cousins in Arizona. I love their hearts. I think their hearts are good. We liked your toys Mimi. I had so much fun flying a kite with Damon and Tanner (my little brothers). I liked baby Kambri. I liked baby Brig too. I liked to hold Hugo. I liked all the babies that I holded, they are so cute! I went to drop off Tanner and Jedera at the school bus. We went on a walk to pick them up with the babies. I painted with Elise. I painted a choo-choo train and a flower. We went to the mall with my cousins (the Brown cousins) and had ice-cream and had so much fun! And I had so much fun at the playground. I love you guys!

That is it for Alex's post. She had a hard time coming back to Idaho. SHe wanted to move back to her old house so she could be by all her family. SHe loves the coming and going of everyone. She seems to have her Dad's need for some serious socialization. Jaden was thrilled to be with all his little cousins and uncles. He remembered everyone from our last trip in October and was really able to keep up with the kids this time. He loved the plane rides and was so good for me. With all the extra family around to play with my kiddos I was able to go see a couple of my dearest friends and do a little catching up with them which was a definite treat.

I don't have any pictures to post as I am still transitioning between computers. As soon as I get that squared away I will get some up for all to see.
