What a busy weekend! We had a Big Wig, Buzz Gizz, fly in from Phoenix on Sunday to meet with TJ and to check out our operation. We had him for dinner Sunday night, along with our management team and their families. I spent the few days beforehand grocery shopping, planting flowers, cooking and cleaning. The food, the weather and the company were all so nice it really was an enjoyable evening. Cleaned up that party...
Awoke the next morning at 5am something to take Paxton into the surgery center to have tubes put in his ears. The actual procedure only took about 10 minutes. Dr. Beck said Paxton had what she calls 'glue ear.' The puss behind the eardrum is so thick that it won't drain out. She had to pull it out once the incision was made. She thought his hearing went up about 40-50 decibels when she took all the gunk out. He seems to be recovering well.
A few hours latter we had Alex's preschool class and their parents over for their graduation program and to cook pizza's in the pizza oven. They were all so cute and seemed to have a lot of fun. Luck would have it that it was a record breaking 96 degrees and we were outside for the whole thing! Cleaned up that party...
A few hours latter we met the same Big Wigs for a yummy dinner at Barbacoa along with our sales and management team, no kids! My kids had cold cereal for dinner and thought they were in heaven. I came home and crashed!
After we got back from dance pictures this morning I put Paxton down for a nap, put on a movie for the kids and I took a nap!

JADEN & HIS BIKE...
TJ got me a bike and little trailer for my birthday. Alex had a bike from last year. TJ bought a bike, after he bought me a bike so we could actually ride together as a family. And while TJ was finding himself the perfect bike, Jaden found one that he liked. Unfortunately for Jaden the one he wanted cost too much and so we promised him a trip to Wal-mart to pick him out a bike. The next night when TJ got home from work he took Jaden to the store and this is the bike & helmet they came home with. I must say that while we are Bronco fans we are not fanatical as the bike might suggest. I was told that it was the bike that fit him the best. I love how faithful and excited Jaden is to wear his helmet. He loves it!

SUNNY DAYS & SUPER HERO'S...
First of all- you've got to love Alex's outfit!
These four little friends often can be found imagining they are super hero's ridding the world of toilet monsters, fighting off a tiger or panther or some other wild creature, or sometimes even each other. My favorite is when I hear Alex trying to turn super hero's and monsters into some creative rendition of 'house.' Blake sometimes gets lured into this without even noticing. Other times he is quick to let her know he is not going to be an obedient dad Hulk or the family pet monster. Livy wants to do whatever Alex is doing and is her faithful counterpart. Then we have Jaden enjoying the role of villan terrorizing the girls making them scream constantly.
I sure do love the bright blue sky with it's big puffy white clouds on these sunny Spring days!...

CROUCH, ID...
My cousin Morgan was in town and so we took a little day trip up to Crouch. TJ had a pool he was working on for a resort called Terrace Lakes. This is the view from the green. When we were pulling through the resort I suddenly realized I had been there some years ago (like 11 years ago) for my senior sneak. We then went to see a friend at his property and ended up on a little hike. The kids thought it was great to turn pinecones into soccer balls and sticks into swords. At one point they were 'sneaking' through the grass and small trees on a hunt to see a chipmunk...it was pretty cute. It was such a beautiful, peaceful place to be.
UMBRELLA'S...
I remember having a fixation with umbrella's when a was a little girl. I loved to twirl them around and watch the colors spin. If I was feeling silly I would run through the rain with my umbrella, splashing in puddles and sing to the tune "I'm Singing in the Rain!" Occasionally my umbrellas even became a little house or tent in my world of make believe.
Umbrellas are the first thing Alex thinks of when the sky starts to let go. She loves her 'rainy walks', twirling them through the air and sometimes even acting like a damsal in distress. And just like her mother they become little houses or tents in her world of make believe.
