RED FISH LAKE...

Our good friends the Ellis's invited us and the Mannings to go camping with them at Red Fish Lake. We had never been there before and what a treat! It was beautiful! We had a great time and the kids LOVED it! We canoed, caught minnow's with little nets, built sand castles, laid in the sun, we laughed, we got sunburned, we hiked, we got treats at the general store, we made great memories. We want to go back!

CAMPING...

There were signs everywhere that said 'Feed the Chipmunks' and so we did! We bought a bag of peanuts and let the kids feed them. They loved it! It is amazing how many nuts those little critters can cram into their cheeks!

This picture is only funny if you were there...it took FOREVER for Lance to roast the chili's for dinner (we were all starving!) and when they were finally done they were so dried up they were useless. I had repeatedly suggested we used canned chili's instead and was adamantly refused many times. Good thing I brought them anyways...!

PIZZA OVEN...

The best pizza you will ever have!

TJ built this beautiful wood burning pizza oven in our backyard. Naturally this produced a quest for the perfect dough and the perfect sauce. After much experimentation it is pretty close to what he would call perfect. Now comes the fun of experimenting with different combinations of toppings. It is quite impressive!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL....

WAAHHH!!! Yes, I cried when she went off to her very first day of school. Wow! What a feeling...did I teach her enough, does she know how much I love her, will she make friends, will kids be nice to her, will the teacher be a good fit for her...the list goes on. I am happy to report that she LOVES school and she has a wonderful teacher and she is making friends and most of the time everyone is nice and she does behave well and make a lot of good decisions and....

HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY IN SEATTLE, WA...

TJ was having a hard time adjusting to the fact he was turning 30 years old. I was shocked when, instead of the large birthday bash that he normally requests, he said he wanted to get away and let his birthday come and go quietly. So, I took his request to heart, and planned a short get away to Seattle. We had the time of our lives! It is a wonderful, vibrant city made up of diverse cultures, incredible art, shopping and breath taking beauty. Loved it! Loved being with my 30 year old babe most of all...!

RIDE THE DUCKS!....

This was a fun little tour we took of Seattle. Silliness is strongly encouraged. The driver was very entertaining and suprisingly knowledgeable about the city and it's history. First we did a land tour of downtown Seattle and then a 'Sleepless in Seattle' water tour around one of the channels.
